Rice sophomore Scott Filip became the third men's track and field athlete to earn USTFCCCA First-Team All-American honors in the last two years by placing eighth in the decathlon Thursday evening at Hayward Field.

Rice sophomore decathlete Scott Filip earned 4176 points and will enter day two of the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in third place following a well-rounded performance Wednesday at Hayward Field.
