The 2015 C-USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships get underway tomorrow and last through Sunday, May 17.

In the Owls final meet before next week's C-USA Outdoor Championships, senior vaulter Chris Pillow led the way by winning his 18th career pole vault competition with a C-USA leading vault of 5.40m (17-08.50) at Saturday's Oxy Invite.

Rice junior Evan Karakolis won his third javelin competition of the outdoor season, unleashing his fourth 70-plus meter throw (72.11m, 236-07) at Saturday's 12th annual J. Fred Duckett Twilight meet.

The 12th annual J. Fred Duckett Twilight will begin Saturday morning, starting with throws at 11 a.m.

The Rice Owls men's track and field squad won three individual events at Saturday's UTEP Invitational, including a victory in the 110m hurdles by sophomore Filip Drozdowski.

Rice sophomore multi-athlete Scott Filip registered 7608 points in the decathlon at the Mt. SAC Relays, finishing third overall and moved into third place nationally (tops amongst all C-USA athletes).
