Rice junior Cali Roper placed second overall while sophomore Elsa Racasan finished third to help lead the Owls' women's cross country team to a second place finish at Saturday's Rim Rock Classic host by Kansas University.

Marco Ruiz led Rice to a seventh-place finish at the season-opening Rice Invitational.

Rice cross country launches the start of their 2015 season this weekend when they host the 40th annual Rice Invitational Meet on Friday, Sept. 11 at the Rice Intramural Fields.
