Richard and William Barker, Bubba Crosby, Jarett Dillard, Funmilayo Jimoh, Holly Jones-Wright, Lauren Shockley and Brent Scott will be inducted as the 2015 Rice Athletic Hall of Fame class on Friday, Oct. 23.

Rice sophomore Daisy Ding became the first female athlete in school history to be awarded the Conference USA Female Athlete of the Year award, the league office announced Friday afternoon.

Rice sophomore jumper Daisy Ding earned USTFCCCA First-Team All-American honors by placing eighth in the triple jump at Saturday's NCAA Outdoor Championships at Historic Hayward Field.

Three Owls will be representing Rice track and field this week as they travel to the 2015 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships, June 10-13 at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.

Rice University will begin construction soon on a new $2 million grandstand, enclosed press box and team facilities for soccer and men's and women's track and field and cross country.

Rice sophomores Daisy Ding and Cybil Obiozor each finished in the top 12 of the triple jump at Saturday's NCAA West Prelims to advance to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon later in June.
